Holidays

Many of the holidays celebrated by Christians today, originate from pagan practices, pagan traditions and pagan customs. Historical sources, do state that early Christians did not adhere to these pagan practices.  These holidays and festivals were celebrated in honour of pagan gods many years before pagans were converted into Christianity.

No fellowship between light and darkness

Pagans did not forsake their ways when they came to Christ.  They transferred their symbols, customs, practices,  feasts and festivals as they are and attached scriptures and changed their meaning to suite the Christian faith.  These practices, were still contrary to the word of God as they still are.

God told Israel to utterly destroy the false gods, their images, their places and their names, and that Israel should not worship God as pagans do, “Ye shall not do so unto the Lord your God (Deuteronomy 12:2-4).  The Bible is clear that there is no fellowship between God and other gods (II Corinthians 6:14). Israel continued mixed God’s ways with worship of strange gods, even as Christianity today is tainted and mixed with pagan  practices.

In this section, we have more information on XmasSt. Valentines’ Day and Passover vs Easter. It is by learning from scripture that we will learn to separate the truth from lies, and be able to put the difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean (Leviticus 10:10).
