The Harmonizing Stars

awardsposter4 Singing songs, making music, blending harmonies, and touching souls are some of the words that describe a group of talented and committed singers and performers. The Harmonizing Stars of Boston is a Gospel Acapella singing group, presently consisting of four members, who by the way are all related. In other words, three members are nephews to one uncle. These gentlemen are all active members of the Church of God and Saints of Christ at 106 Crawford Street in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

The Harmonizing Stars of Boston has performed in distinguished venues such as The Massachusetts State House, Boston City Hall, Arlington Street Church, countless other local churches, schools, community centers, nursing homes, and many parks. Their ministry has taken them to places throughout the United States and Canada. As licensed public performing artists, they can also be found blending their voices and harmonies throughout the public transportation system in Massachusetts.

On Saturday, April 25, 2009, The Harmonizing Stars of Boston was awarded “The New England’s best gospel group” award at the 4th Annual New England Urban Music Awards Ceremony, co-sponsored by Radio Station Touch 106.1FM. The Harmonizing Stars of Boston was recently featured as guest performers on the Boston Neighborhood Network Cable program. Elected Governors, Mayors, City and State Officials have bestowed awards for their talents, commitment and community service upon them.

Additionally, their performances have been duly recognized by other acclaimed entertainers as well as by other religious, civic and business organizations. In their hometown-Boston, they rank one of five of the longest- still performing gospel groups. What’s more? They rank one of the top three recognized gospel acapella groups in the city. In the early Spring 2005, they released a twelve song gospel CD. And then in early 2009, they recorded and released a single song CD entitled “the freedom anthem.” The “freedom anthem” is a re-mix of the American National Anthem, with a reoccurring lyrical theme “ring ring ring, let freedom ring.” Their plans include future concerts and additional recordings.

On Sunday, June 28, 2009, the longstanding acapella quartet will celebrate 40 years of singing gospel music. Their collective creativity and talent have afforded them the opportunity to master the mixes of quartet harmonies. The current members are Jonathan Bradshaw, Jonathan Bruce, James Bruce, and Andre’ Wright. God has richly blessed them to be blessed to love and freely share their ministry of singing gospel and inspirational music.
