Train up a child (Part III)
Posted By admin1 on October 13, 2008
As we continue with this series, we realize that we cannot leave the good upbringing of our children to chance. To ensure that our children are learning the right ways, we have to be seen at the fore front, and we have to be the ones doing the parenting job. We have to maintain visible presence in their lives and be proactive. As parents, we are there to teach and to guide them. If we do our parental job well now whilst they are young and tender, we will be rewarded with responsible adults in future. So, let us continue to:
- Encourage and instill in your children to mean business with God. That means coming to Church on time, to be faithful servants in their offices and assignments, being helpful on Church chores like: cleaning, tidying up, etc (Psalms 84:10).
- Teach children to give an active, cheerful, and enthusiastic worship services to God all the time. Let them understand that giving service to God is an offering (Psalms 27:5), and that God respects wholehearted offering without blemish (Genesis 4:4). Teach them to make their number to count, rather than for them to count the numbers (St. Matthew 18:20).
Let us continue to teach, instruct and guide our children so that they can be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (II Timothy 3:17).
